• Faith
Deo Fidemus – In God We Trust (Latin). Defient Arms, DE-FI-ENT, is a mash-up of its parent company, Deo Fidemus Enterprise, LLC and was created as a ministry to reach out to those reacting to the current state of our society. In a world filled with evil and deprave criminal activity, people flock guns and go-bags to prepare for the worst. Every week there are new stories of mass killings, active shooters, and terrorist organizations. With each incident we see spikes in the number of applications for handgun licenses, not only in Oklahoma, but all across the nation as people make decisions to do what is necessary to protect their persons, their families, and their homes. At Defient Arms, we not only encourage, but emphasize these decisions to exercise citizens’ right to keep and bear arms. Our founding fathers saw fit to grant those rights with the 2nd Amendment of the Bill of Rights and they should be employed unanimously, as all of us here have made those decisions and practice those freedoms daily. However, more importantly, we also encourage people not to put their trust in guns and knives to save their family, but to place that trust in the Lord God Almighty to protect his faithful servants. In a life-or-death situation, a self-defense firearm absolutely increases your odds of surviving. However, guns can fail. Bullets can miss. The only thing certain is that Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross provides eternal protection for all those who believe. Psalm 44:6-7 (KJV) – “For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us.”
  • Preparation
Following closely on the heels of our Mission of Faith comes our Mission of Preparation. As we put our trust in the Lord first and foremost, the first step of preparation is salvation. Accepting the saving grace of Jesus Christ’s finished work on the cross is the most important act of preparation because it prepares you for eternity. Regardless of whether you win or lose in a life-or-death situation, you will always know that your eternity is protected by the Almighty. However, anybody already sure of their salvation that makes the decision to own and/or carry a firearm, whether used for defense or for sport, must prepare to use it. This means observing, educating, and training. Firearm safety is not some human nature that we are born with. Proper form and etiquette aren’t muscle memories programmed in a baby while it’s still in the womb. These are things that must be learned over time and through proper education and training so that they can be properly and effective employed when necessary. Defient Arms exists to equip ordinary people with that knowledge and those skills that they may be readily utilized when necessary. 1 Timothy 4:7-8 (KJV) – “But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.”
